      • If your document requires certification for official use (USCIS, consulate, or other institution) then it is considered a certified translation and priced per page. Documents eligible for this service generally follow templates and are issued by governments or official institutions.

        • The Spanish Group’s certification of translation is standard on every certified translation and is virtually universally valid.
      • Notarization
        • What is a notarization?
          • A notarization is a certification by a notary public. Notarization is required if it is stated in the requirements. If it is not clearly stated, we typically recommend that you add this service.
        • Pricing and Turnaround Time
          • Notarization is a flat fee displayed on the checkout page.
          • Adding a notarization does not affect the turnaround time.

      • Please ensure that you specify the requirements for your certified translation upon placing your order or when requesting a quote. Please request a quote prior to ordering the following services:
        • ATA Certified Translation
          • An ATA Certified Translator (American Translators Association).
          • This service is generally only required by County Clerk Recorders within the United States or if an institution explicitly requests this.
        • Sworn Translation (Traducción Jurada)
          • A Sworn Translation is a translation for use in Spain that has been translated by a translator certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain.
        • Perito Translation (Mexico)
          • A translator certified by the government and courts of Mexico.
        • ATIO Certified Translation
          • A translator certified by the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario.
        • Sworn Translation (Brazil) (Tradução Pública or Tradução Juramentada)
          • A translator that has passed a Brazilian public examination for translation.
        • Public Translator (Argentina)
          • A translator certified by the government and courts of Argentina.
  • Certified Translation for Professional Purposes
    • What is a professional translation?
      • If your document is in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel or any similar file type, then it is priced per word. The translation will be delivered to you in the same editable format provided. These documents are issued with the same certification as a “Certified Translation for Official Purposes”.
      • Certification is included at no additional charge for a “Certified Translation for Professional Purposes”.
    • Formatting
      • The Spanish Group provides formatting at no extra charge.
      • The Spanish Group will replicate any document’s margins, fonts, tables, bookmarks, headers, footers, and page numbering whenever possible.

    • What is an Apostille?
      • An Apostille is an international certification that was established by the Hague Convention (1961).
    • Pricing and Turnaround Time
      • Apostille pricing is a flat fee, but due to constantly changing governmental fees and differing official processing charges, please request a quote for this service.
      • The Spanish Group offers an Expedited Apostille Service which requires 1-3 business days for processing and a Standard Apostille Service which requires 8-10 business days for processing.
    • Types of Apostilles
      • The Spanish Group can provide apostille authentication for both your certified and notarized translation as well as for your original documents.
      • If you require an apostille on a certified translation then you do not need to send your original documents, and The Spanish Group will mail you the certified translation and apostille upon completion. If you require an apostille authentication on original documents then you will need to mail the documents to one of The Spanish Group’s indicated addresses for processing.

      • A transcriptionist is an individual that transcribes, or changes, spoken dialogue into written text.
      • The Spanish Group offers transcription and transcription translation to and from Spanish and English and over 90 other languages.

  • Captions, Subtitles and Translated Subtitles
    • The Spanish Group provides captions, subtitles and foreign subtitles quickly and at affordable rates. Time stamps are provided by default and are not subject to an additional charge. We will email you the files as well as the video ready to view, publish and enjoy.
    • Captions
      1. A caption includes the spoken dialogue, background noise, and any other audible effects of a video or motion picture.
    • Subtitles
      • A subtitle features only the spoken dialogue and does not include a description of the background noise or any other audible effects of a video or motion picture.
    • Translated Subtitles
      • A foreign subtitle or a subtitle translation is a subtitle that has been translated and localized for a target language.
    • Certification
      • A caption, subtitle or translated subtitle by The Spanish Group includes a certification indicating that the service performed is a certified caption, certified subtitle, or a certified translated subtitle and is valid for official and legal use.
    • File Types
      • The Spanish Group can generate a caption and subtitle file using your existing audio or video or it can work with the file type that you provide.
